Frequently Asked Questions
1 / What is your process for completing projects?
First step is to Contact Us with as much information as possible about your project. From there, we will work with you to hash out specific details, plus agree on a timeline and (if applicable) rate of payment. When the final draft is approved, you will receive the relevant finished product(s) and an invoice.
2 / Do you offer other services besides what is listed here?
Absolutely! Professional writing and design are very broad fields, so our website lists only a few of the more common examples of the types of projects we can do.
3 / Do you only work with clients on Whidbey Island? Where is that anyway?
Whidbey Island is just off the coast of western Washington State, in the US, and may or may not be considered part of the Seattle metro area, depending on who you ask. Pro Writing Whidbey was started with the aim of making professional writing, editing, and design services more accessible to local small businesses, but we will happily take on any project that can be done remotely.
4 / Do you offer discounts for Non-Profit Organizations?
Yes! If your project is for a verified non-profit organization, please note that when you fill out our contact form.
5 / Why are your rates so high?
Our rates are based on industry averages for the various freelance services provided, but there may be room for negotiation, if you ask nicely!
6 / What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment methods are decided on a case-by-case basis with each client, depending on their needs, but we can accept most common payment methods.
7 / Are you a freelancer? Or a business?
Both. The state of Washington requires most freelancers to register as a business and pay licensing fees and business taxes.
